Congratulations to all QDBF Clubs for making the AusChamps what it was – fun, furious, awesome racing!

Thank you to Richard Lim and Norm Hunt for preparing one of the best Opening / Blessing Ceremonies seen (and well attended) in recent years of the AusChamps.

Our State paddlers gave their all on Day 3, culminating with the Peter Bristow Trophy returning to Qld for the first time since our 2002 domination at Hinze Dam.

Qld clubs dominated in the Senior racing (Days 1 & 2) as well as the Premier & Juniors (Days 4 & 5) with all showing great competitiveness and sportsmanship – special thanks to the clubs who had paddlers help out between races in boat loading when we were down in volunteers.

Behind scenes toiling continuously were a number of people but I would like to especially mention:
Danielle Ferrari for her organisation of the vendors, Jason Ferrari & his team of pontoon movers (I know of at least Doug Davies but there were others), Heather Binns for coordinating the volunteers, plus bringing Sunny to ‘life’, Jo ‘Woggy’ Grammatico for arranging an awesome After Party
